Hi! My name is Kathryn. So glad you could visit! My soul's companion, John, and I have been married 22 years and we have 5 altogether lovely children.
We've been homeschooling for about twelve years (I lose count...), and have graduated our oldest homeschooled child, who is now in college. Our homeschooling style has changed over the years and we have tried and do try many different approaches; but the main thing we try to keep constant is this idea of a lifestyle of learning. All of life is an opportunity to learn, and we try to keep curiosity and the wonderment of learning alive in our home at all times.
We began Precious Privilege as a little local newsletter about nine years ago. We had the simple desire to help folks such as ourselves: regular people with doubts, insecurities and limited income, but with faith in God's leading. We called the newsletter Precious Privilege, because we consider raising children to be not only a sacred calling, but a Precious Privilege.
Our family no longer publishes our little paper newsletter, but now that we've gone "cyber", we hope and pray that we are able to minister to you through this website.
We are joyfully Christian (see What We Believe). Everything that we do overflows from our perspectives as followers of Jesus.
