Keep bathtub toys in a mesh laundry bag and hang from a hook or towel bar in the bathtub. They can drain and be handy and neat at the same time. Teach kids to return toys to bag at the end of their baths.

If you don't have a good drain in your bathtub, you can use a piece of wadded up nylon pantihose or a nylon scrub ball to keep hair out of the drain. Gross, but it beats a plumber's bill. If you let the nylon dry, the hair is easier to remove and not as yucky.

Sticky leftover goo from nonskid decals can be removed with nail polish remover (the kind WITH acetone). Wet a cleaning cloth with nail polish remover, and wipe away. Make sure there's lots of ventilation, and rinse that tub and cloth to get rid of the fumes. Don't mix the nail polish remover with ANY other cleaner! Some combinations produce poisonous fumes.

Place a 1/2 gallon sized jug, filled with water, in your toilet tank. Now you have a low-flow toilet that uses less water per flush! For big jobs, you may need to flush twice, but this will work nicely for the majority of your "flushing needs", and save water.
